Would you know what to do in a cardiac or breathing in an emergency?  The right answer could help you save a life.   With an emphasis on hands-on learning this CPR/AED course gives you the skills to save a life.
Course has four lessons.   Identify emergency, prioritize care,  discuss barriers and how to overcome them, consent, when to move a victim, shock, checking a conscious and unconscious person.  Second, recognize signals of cardiac emergency,  care for a heart attack,  causes of cardiac arrest and how to perform CPR.  Third, explain the function of an AED.  Explain  precautions when using an AED and demonstrate correct use of AED.   The last lesson is the recognition and proper care for a person who is choking.
Successful completion earns a certificate good for two years from American Red Cross.
