June 1, 2002 Wake Up Paddle!
Summer temperatures have arrived and it was already warm when we met to paddle the Minnesota River at 7:00 a.m. Nine of us kayaked for a couple of hours this morning, with the carp jumping and the eagles watching over the river. There was some barge activity which was not a problem, but kept us cautious. What a great time to get out on a Saturday morning. Time to design that built-in kayak coffee holder, I think.
