August 17th Annual Picnic It must be something about late August, or something about White Bear Lake, but we seem to catch the strangest weather when we hold the annual ISK picnic. Today started cloudy and then turned sunny and blustery. The lake was full of white caps. The wind came in "fits and starts" and startled us a few times with its intensity. We did have a great day though, of course....We paddled a bit in the morning, then cooked up 4 dozen ears of corn, brats and hamburgers, and shared wonderful salad and pies. Then back out on the lake. We also had a drawing for a basket full of goodies -- congrats to Jeff F. for winning that basket, and for sharing his jelly beans with the kids. Thanks to all who made it a super picnic. ![]() P.O. Box 80331 ~ Minneapolis, Minnesota 55408 [contact us] |
