April 26-28th Midwest Expo

ISK had its first ever booth at the Midwest Outdoor Expo this spring. It was a great booth, though another April snow storm made it feel less like spring (it's the first time I've heard the weather radio announce "thunder snow.") Our booth was in a terrific location in the tent, surrounded by other kayakers, canoeists and outdoor folks.

We spoke to hundreds of people over the course of the three days, gave away uncountable numbers of Kayak Safety Cards, and shared our enjoyment of kayaking with whoever would stop long enough to talk.

Thanks to all the volunteers for helping. It was an exhausting weekend, but worth the time and the effort to make a presence for the club at this fun event.
