Minnesota River/Pike Island Circumnavigation, March 11, 2000

This paddle was an impromptu gathering -- the first ever from the new ISK Message Board. Three of us met and paddled from Fort Snelling on the Minnesota River, around to the Mississippi and back again. And then, yes, we even managed to get in a circumnavigation. Not much of an accomplishment to be sure, but we paddled around this small island, with great conversation about kayaking and its relationship to our worlds. Circumnavigation and circumspection. A late start led to a beautiful finish in the late winter sunset.
