Get Involved There are many ways to become involved with Inland Sea Kayakers! We have activities throughout the year -- some on the water and some not. See what meets your needs and schedule.... Program Meetings
The club meets throughout the year of the third Monday of each month. Programs include feature presentations by club members and guest speakers, official announcements, and trip reports. These meetings are also social occasions where people mingle, meet other kayakers, and plan trips. Check out the Events page for what's happening.Trips The club sponsors overnight and day trips for paddlers of all skill levels. Popular destinations include Lake Superior, Lake Mille Lacs, Voyageurs National Park, the Mississippi River, and the St. Croix River. These trips are an opportunity to learn about these and other destinations from other members who are willing to share their knowledge and experience. By going on these trips, new members can make friends, learn good paddle safety practices, and discover new places to paddle. You may also sign up for upcoming trips online. Instruction Informal instruction is available weekly from other club members. From May to September we meet Wednesday evenings on the south shore of Lake Calhoun to paddle and practice. This is a great opportunity for members to learn from each other and to practice those skills learned in formal classes. In addition, we hold monthly pool sessions in the winter months (approximately 7 altogether) during which we practice our skills, helping each other learn too! Membership Information Our membership form is available on this web site. Feel free to print it out and mail it in. Annual ISK dues are $15 for both individuals and households. Benefits include:
