This semi-annual "AS IF" drill was conducted this time with "challenges" for 2 teams. This event was done in the style of "The Amazing Race" for the purpose of participants to test their skills and learn new ones in preparation for upcoming expeditions.

Basic navigation class
September 2009
ISK member Rhett Taber:
We learned about charts, plotting courses and basics of navigation.
This was an excellent way for beginners to learn the basics, as well as
giving the more experienced navigators an opportunity to "fine tune"
their knowledge.
This session was also be an excellent introduction for those who will
be attending the Night
Navigation class the following weekend.

Voyageurs Trip
September 24 – 27
8 people joined trip leaders Larry Stephenson and John Mayerle for an
adventure filled weekend at Voyageurs National Park.
